Connection flights

Missing a connecting flight happens faster than one may think. With the first flight starting a little late every minute of your transfer time matters. Many stopovers are scheduled quite tight and reaching the connection flight can become stressful quickly.
But in case you don´t make it because of the delay of your first flight, you are entitled to financial compensation. The European Court of Justice determined this right in 2013.

However, there is a small hitch: In two successive but independently booked flights, there is no compensation for the missed connecting flight. Therefore, it is advisable to book the entire connection with one airline and in one go.

Your compensation claims can be enforced if:
  • arrival at the destination airport is three hours late.
  • both flights are booked in one go (one booking number).
  • you started within the EU or flew with an EU airline from outside to the EU.
  • the flight was no more than three years ago.

We are happy to take care of your claims. To enforce them we have to ask for a small fee.

Our handling fee is 20%-30% plus VAT. We will only charge this fee once we transfer your compensation to your bank account.
