Your rights in case of delay
Entitlement to financial compensation
The EU air passenger rights regulation determined the amount of financial compensation concerning flight disruptions. As such compensation depends on the flight length. Moreover, in the case of long-distance flights, the length of the delay also plays a role.
Short-haul (up to 1500 km):
From a delay of 3 hours the compensation amount is 250 €.
Medium distance (up to 3500 km):
From a delay of 3 hours the compensation amount is 400 €.
Long distance (over 3500 km):
If the delay is between 3 and 4 hours, the amount of compensation is 300 €.
For a delay of 4 hours or more, the amount of compensation is €600.
Entitlement to care at the airport
The EU Air Passenger Rights Regulation has also defined the services that airlines must provide in the event of flight delays. In addition to financial compensation, they include meals at the airport during the waiting period. Depending on the route, this is what you are entitled to:
Short-haul flights (up to 1500km):
When the waiting time exceeds 2 hours or in the event of cancellation, the passenger has a right to free drinks, snacks, e-mails, faxes and two telephone calls.
Medium distance (up to 3500km):
From a waiting period of 3 hours or a cancellation, the passengerhas a right tois entitled to free drinks, meals and two telephone calls, e-mails or faxes.
Long distance (over 3500km):
When a flight is more than 4 hours late or canceled, the passenger has a right to free drinks, meals, and two telephone calls, e-mails, or faxes.
We are happy to take care of your claims. To enforce them we have to ask for a small fee.
Our handling fee is 20%-30% plus VAT. We will only charge this fee once we transfer your compensation to your bank account.
